Well, that stinks!

I have been diagnosed with Lyme. At this time, I don’t know more than that, but it would makes sense why I am always so very tired, can never keep up with other moms, have all the foot and joint problems, and so many other things.

I announce it here, but I won’t be publicly talking about it here unless it directly effects the princess.

Things will get financially strapped (who isn’t strapped in this economy) because specialists are usually NOT covered by insurance. So, the spoiling of Lulu may not be as great as it once was, because Mommy has to make sure she can take care of Lulu. It also means a very small birthday celebration.

This is serious. Our household is very strained right now. 😦 (I will probably get in trouble for admitting that outloud – if he reads this – but it is. The treatment is long. I have probably had it for 14 years, and at this point am hoping it is not effecting my brain.

Sorry to be a downer! I assure you Lulu pics for the next post!

  1. I’m so sorry, Mer. 😦 Let me know if there’s anything I can do.

I’m actually an insurance person so if you need help decoding your policy…

    Take care of yourself! ::hugs::

  2. That *totally* stinks!!! 😦 Hang in there. ((Hugs))

  3. Mary

Your brain is fine; even I can tell that. Unless you were really sane once? I find that hard to imagine.

A cousin of mine had Lyme disease, and it does stink. But it does get better!! Just focus on taking care of yourself and the girl, and shout anytime you need some cheerleaders to keep you going. Hugs to all while you get through this.

  4. Hate that diagnosis for you. Do love your blog. Your daughter is beautiful, I have a girl from VN too, adopted in ’08. Sending positive thoughts your way!

  5. Ann (Mom2C)

Big hugs to you sweetie. One day at a time….

  6. I’m so sorry to hear about your troubles! Well at least you have a diagnosis and it is the first step to getting better. That is all that matters. Just spoil Lulu with even more love – if that is even possible!

  7. MBKG

So sorry to hear this news.
Hope things go smoothly with your treatment.

  8. Gosh Mer, I am so sorry!!! I wonder if this is why you were sick in VN as well. I’m just happy you know something and hopefully they can get you ALL better!!! I will say a lot of prayers for you my friend!!!

    wow- wheres my comment?

  10. Rhonda

I have been blog absent for a bit and I missed this. I am sooooo very sorry to hear the news. Big hugs and prayers and take extra special care of you.
    Blessings, Rhonda

  11. Hey Mer! How are you feeling?

  12. I cannot believe this – how terrible. I also apologize for not reading (‘cuz, you know, if there’s not a photo of the cutie…). I know nothing about Lyme, other than that it causes fatigue, which is enough to know it’s not a good thing with a toddler. Take care of yourself (I already know you’re taking care of Lulu).
