ISO Help on Tot Clock, Wake Up Toddler Clock, etc.

I am looking for something to let Lulu know when it is ok to get up. There are some great products.

Here are some of the products:

Kid’ Sleep Child Alarm Clock, Wake Up Indicator and Night Light Kid’sleep works by showing children in a simple, easy-to-understand way when it is time for them to get up, and when they should be staying in bed. When the child wakes up they simply look at the clock face – and the lit image on it will either show a sleeping animal (time to go back to sleep!) or a wide-awake animal (time to get up!). Runs $85
(available here.)

My Tot Clock changes colors to teach little ones when to sleep (blue light) and when it’s okay to wake (yellow light). Plays bedtime stories, lullabies, fun wake music, and even white noise! Makes a great night light with 5 levels of illumination.
Built-in Discipline Timer (red light,) when a little timeout is needed. Built-in Toddler Activity Manager (green light) for any positive timed activity like potty training and picking up toys. Changeable faceplates to match your child’s interests or bedroom theme. Runs $60
(available here.)

Personally, I am thinking about buying something like this:

Walmart $10

Amazon $10

Any thoughts, advice, other?!?!

Lulu’s Mama

  1. Mary

I used to share a house with a single mom. Her boy was three having the same problem. I just gave him my $5 Mickey Mouse plastic alarm clock. When the clock went off, he was allowed to get up. He actually started sleeping better; instead of jumping out of bed at 4am, two boring mornings staring at the ceiling had him sleeping till 6.30 (7.30 on weekends, but we never told him we would switch the time Friday nights!)

  2. I’ve never thought about it – love to hear what you choose.

  3. Did you get any feedback on these other than the comments here? I’ve been waiting to see if anyone gave ones of these rave reviews. Noah gets up TOO EARLY, and I’ve been wanting to get him something like this. Today he got up and I sent him back to bed. He came back 15 minutes later and told me that he’d been in his room for “26 more hours.”
